Strategic Conservation Solutions is pleased to have Madeline Thomas join us as a Research Fellow for Fall 2012.Thomas is originally from Troy, MO. She is a recent graduate student from the University of Missouri, Columbia, working towards a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. Her research interests include agricultural policy, economics, and conservation. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics with a minor in International Agriculture from Mizzou. Madeline first became interested in federal policy through her coursework in agricultural policy at Mizzou and a class trip to DC in the fall of 2009. Prior to this role, Madeline served as a graduate research assistant with the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) and a Washington intern with the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives and the Farm Credit Council. Following the completion of her fellowship, Madeline plans to continue to work in agricultural, conservation, or trade policy in Washington, DC.
